Hey, all, 'hedgie's back! Well, kinda. Okay, so I have been around, I just haven't been very active. So, what's wrong?
Well, numerous complications. First of all, I got a job. Officially, I am now employed at Wal-Mart. What city? Why do you need to know? Anyway, I'm actually a late night unloader, working eight hours a day, four days a week. My schedule is 4 PM to 1 PM, and my schedule preference in Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday, due to my school schedule. I may have to work Monday and Wednesday certain days, though, but I don't like doing so because then I get to bed at 2 AM and have to get up at 7:00 AM. I also now have my Driver's License, and soon, I should have my own car, as well, I'll just have to gradually pay my parents back for it, and the cost for repairs (it was used and in need of some fixes, but it was a cheap purchase).
Of course, I'm also still in school, too, and I'm trying to spend a lot of time with my gf. At least, as much as I can, anyway. But it isn't working out as much as I had hoped. Further complicating things is that I have to do certain classes for school on certain computers. I don't have Access on my home PC, so I can only work on my SQL Assignments at school. My Psychology Assignments must be turned in online, and ultimately, I have to do them in Microsoft Word, so I have to be at a PC. My Multimedia Scripting Basics... can only be done at my home PC.
For Communication Skills 1, though, it isn't too complicated. I do have to have my essays written in Word, and typically I prefer it that way. However, I can still write out my outlines for essays, and for speeches, on paper. It still complicates things a little bit, though.
So, I've got plenty of time at the PC, anyway, correct? Well, perhaps not so much. Whenever I want to hang out with my gf, typically I have no PC access. Same goes for when I'm at work. Obviously I can't do anything while actually working, but I can still do stuff while on my <s>lunch</s> dinner break, which is an hour long.
My dilemma? I don't have a laptop. If I had a laptop, things would be far less complicated for me, and I could do stuff I want to do more often, such as scripts and writing, as well as work on my assignments, whenever I have the capacity of doing so, and not simply whenever I have access to a desk computer. However, I don't have the money for one, so I'm trying to save up, or try and get some money through a Student Loan (which, due to majorly annoying complications, took forEVER to get through... my initial loan application failed for some reason, so I had to reapply and wait an additional four weeks to get back), and yeah...
Anyway, once I do get one I'll probably be more active, and be able to write more. I may even be able to work on more of the Dark Horizons game, but I wouldn't count on that too much at the moment.
Of course, as noted above... I'M NOW OFFICIALLY EMPLOYED! Kinda interesting, but not too long after I got employed and started, my girlfriend got hired as an Avon Representative. So, a little plug to her... If you're a lady interested in beauty products, or you're a guy who wants a good present for your special lady, buy something from Hannah's site!

Of course, since I'm now employed, it does mean its a little less time I have available, but its mostly in the evenings. The work is pretty fun, too, despite being a little tiring. Plus, it means I actually have INCOME for a change! Whew... Now I can start saving stuff... (and spending some, too xD still hoping to get Unleashed PS2)
Speaking of games, and Sonic, I've been watching some recent information, and I do have to say that its quite badass. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games... yeah, I know its a sequel to the prior, and yeah, its a spinoff "minigame" fest. However, it includes a lot of AWESOME nods!
For those not worried about spoilers... there's a Festival Mode in the Wii version where basically you're "training" for the Olympic Games. It's not so plot-depth as the DS's "Adventure Tours," but it still has some nifty things, including the same bosses from the DS version. What bosses, you ask?
Well, Rouge, Jet, and Omega for starters. I figured Omega would be in, but I was thinking that Jet and Rouge would be playable. Here's hoping they actually are, because in reality, they all have FULL character models. Seriously, they had BETTER be unlockable.
More surprising, though, is the appearance of... EGGMAN NEGA!!! Yup, totally. Nega makes his first appearance in a 3D game, and in a spinoff. Friggin' awesome. Oh yes, and Omega has a new voice actor.
On the Mario side, we know of King Boo, Bullet Bill, and Dry Bowser being in the mix... not to mention a bunch of Dry Bones who appear along with Dry Bowser. Nothing really interesting here, though... unless some are playable.
Dream Events, though, are where things REALLY get interesting. First, a warning... Dream Events, though in both version of the game, are NOT based on Mario/Sonic stages in the DS version. Yes, the Wii version has largely enhanced Dream Events things time around. The likes of Bowser's Castle from Super Mario Strikers appear in Dream Hockey, while Mario Kart Wii's Mario Circuit takes center stage for Dream Ski Cross. On the other hand, Dream Alpine takes place in Ocean Palace from Sonic Heroes, with Dream Snowboard Cross taking placing along Radical Highway from Sonic Adventure 2.
More known include Dream Ski Jump (Good Egg Galaxy - Super Mario Galaxy), Dream Snowball Fight (a special event based on the Mario series with Mario effects, but actually takes place in Frostown, a fictional town created for the game), Dream Speed Skating (Egg Factory - Sonic Riders), and Dream Figure Skating (similar to Dream Snowball Fight, but based on an actual Olympic Event... Eggman robots line the skating rink, and the background shifts starting with Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1, then to Death Egg Zone from Sonic 2/3, and lastly finishing off with... PERFECT CHAOS FROM SA! Including a destroyed Station Square backdrop). That's not the end of it, though. A minimum of 3 more events is known to exist, but it might actually be 4 (I'm not sure on this). However, regardless, the final event we know about is Dream Bobsleigh... BASED ON NOCTURNE COLONY FROM SONIC CHRONICLES! Talk about interesting references. And people thought that Sega wouldn't ever reference the events of Chronicles.
So, yeah, its looking pretty good so far. The only thing that could make this even better is learning that bosses are unlockable (which I still haven't heard about yet).
On another note, Ryo from Shenmue is confirmed for Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing. Plus, there's a mysterious Sonic game supposed to come out with the working title "Project: Needlemouse." But, of course, you guys probably already know about that.
So, no more writer's block, then? Well, truthfully, I do have some writer's block... its called "not having access to a PC so I CAN write." Regardless, when I do have PC access, I'll try and write as much as I can... as long as I finish my homework, first.
So, what's up, then?
Okay, here's the sitch. I've uploaded Chapter 1 for both The Demon Within and Embers of Solaris to Fanfiction.net. I'll try and finish up The Demon Within's SECOND chapter so I can upload both that and EoS's second, as well. Afterwards, I'll concentrate on finishing Legacy of the Lost before continuing on with Embers of Solaris. If I work more on Demon Within, though, I'll try and keep that updated.
As for others, such as the Ill-Forgotten, I'll try and work on that, too. I haven't uploaded the initial chapter at the moment, but I'd like to. Of course, I haven't uploaded any new chapters to dA yet. I will later on, though.
Well, then, how are things going with me, huh? Is that what you're askin'?
Well, I'm doing just perfect, actually. Well, okay, so close, anyway... Being able to see Hannah on a regular basis is definitely helping me a lot. It would be even better if I had a stable cash flow now, but I will have it soon. I just need to wait until I get my first paycheck. Once I have that, I will have to let go of probably around $100 dollars each paycheck (every two weeks) to pay back for the money I now owe them (a pretty big change, considering the fact that they owed me around $600 fairly recently... now I owe back about that, and perhaps more), but regardless, that's something else to take care of gradually.
Anyway, another $100 each paycheck will also go to savings. After I pay off my parents, $200 will go to savings. Is that a bit excessive? Well, considering how my estimates measure up to about $400 per paycheck, no, that isn't. I'm expecting to need the rest of the money for day-to-day expenses, including Downtown Milwaukee Parking costs, as well as gas money, and plus, I'm going to try and tithe.
So, yeah, I'll have money soon, but initially, things will probably be tight. Once things settle down, though, I'll probably have a little extra cash for personal things, including taking my gf out more often, plus also simply seeing her more often period. I'm also going to try and get a laptop, of course, but that'll probably go through Student Loans, because it's also pretty much necessary for school, as well.
Hannah being around more often has helped... but I still can't see her all the time, and even then, its not very long. Selfish? I don't know. But once I start getting a steady flow of money, I can afford to pay for gas and can see her more often. ^^ (And take her out more often.

)
Or perhaps not so much. But I can say that I haven't given up on coding, or on TSR/SF. In fact, I'm working on some HEAVY updates to TSR's scripts. Again. But it also includes -major- database changes, which is the main thing I'm concentrating on right now.
Let's just say that I've found a way to bypass some of the problems I've been having with these scripts, but I won't say more right now. I haven't forgotten about the site, though. I wouldn't be paying for hosting if I didn't.
Anyway, that's about it... for now, anyway. I do hope to get some Concept Artwork drawn out for my Zelda stories, but I don't know how it will work out or not. We'll see.
